OUTPATIENT CHEMOTHERAPY
Outpatient chemotherapy (systemic antitumor treatment) is the administration of drugs in a day patient department of a medical center, without hospitalization.
We perform chemotherapy on an outpatient basis, as it is done in 90% of cases in countries with developed medicine.
The chemo sessions take place at a time convenient for a patient in a comfortable environment.
Chemotherapy is carried out according to European and international protocols, effectiveness of which has been confirmed by numerous clinical studies.
During chemotherapy in the center, the patient is under the constant supervision of a nurse and oncologist-chemotherapist, which makes it possible to react quickly and control any side effects.
Depending on the doctor's prescription, the patient is injected with various drugs: chemotherapy, targeted, oncoimmunological.
The injection procedure can last from several minutes to several hours.
Before administration of drugs the following procedures are performed:
- Examination of the patient and study of the anamnesis
- Determination of the chemotherapy treatment regimen / analysis of another doctor prescription
- Formation of a list of medicinal products containing the active substance prescribed for the patient
- Calculation of the required dose of the drug (depends on the height, weight of the patient, etc.)
- Writing a prescription so that the patient can purchase the drug
- Consultation, what tests and how often it is necessary to take to control the condition
- Formation of tactics for further follow-up
