Ultrasound investigation (US)
Ultrasound diagnostics is an examination of the state of tissues and organs using ultrasonic waves. When passing through the boundaries of tissues, ultrasound is reflected. These changes are recorded by a special sensor. They are the basis of the image obtained during the examination. Ultrasound has become very popular due to its advantages: the absence of interference in the tissues and organs of a patient, maximum safety, and information content.
Specialists of the "Umit" Center perform complex expert class ultrasound using modern ultrasound devices. The Umit employs diagnosticians with extensive practical experience: the highest category physicians, who have performed thousands of examinations.
There are several types of ultrasound investigation. A conventional scanning is mostly used, which is traditionally called ultrasound diagnostics and dopplerography. Dopplerography helps to examine the blood flow and patency of blood vessels.
More than 15 types of examinations are performed at the Umit Center, they are:
Ultrasound of abdominal organs with kidneys and retroperitoneal space
Ultrasound of pelvic organs (transabdominal)
Ultrasound of pelvic organs (transvaginal)
Ultrasound of lymph glands
Ultrasound of mammary glands
Ultrasound of scrotum
Ultrasound of soft tissues
Ultrasound of penis
Ultrasound of pleural cavity
Transrectal ultrasound of prostatic gland
Ultrasound of kidneys
Ultrasound of bladder
Ultrasound of thyroid gland
Ultrasound of hepatoduodenal area (liver, gallbladder, pancreatic gland and spleen)
Echocardiography
1. Without radiation exposure
Ultrasound is a radiation-free diagnostic method. It can be performed to almost everyone - even newborns, pregnant and lactating women. We know how important is accessibility and careful attitude to the health of our patients, and we actively use the ultrasound method when carrying out a complex of therapeutic and diagnostic measures.
2. Without pain
If a person does not have a severe pain syndrome, then the process of ultrasound diagnostics can be described as a delicate stroking: a doctor moves the sensor gently, almost without pressure. The examination is without stress and inconvenience - it is hardly worth being afraid or postponing such a procedure “for later”, isn’t it?
3. You will find the examination that you need
We perform almost all types of ultrasound diagnostics. Rare or most common - we help to investigate a wide variety of health problems. We can perform eye ultrasound, 3D and 4D ultrasound, stress echocardiography (diagnosis of heart pathologies), intracardiac echocardiography using intracardiac catheters, elastography and many others.
4. Reasonable price
In addition to all its advantages, ultrasound is also one of the most affordable examinations. The money you spend on ultrasound diagnostics in our center will be a smart investment in your health and will help you make a well-considered decision on further treatment.
5. Most advanced equipment
Our devices allow to obtain high-resolution images: the smallest details and changes of the tissues are displayed on the screen during the examination. The capabilities of our equipment allow, for example, to visualize blood vessels and blood flow, which helps to detect blood clots, diagnose varicose veins and understand the causes of other problems of the cardiovascular system.
How is ultrasound diagnostics performed?
During the diagnosis, a patient is lying on examination table, and a doctor applies a transparent gel to the skin on the area under examination.
After that, the doctor takes the sensor and begins to move it over the patient's skin. The image of the examined internal systems and organs is seen on the monitor.
It should be noted that certain ultrasound examinations may require some preparation. In particular, during the bladder ultrasound, it is necessary for the bladder to be full. This guarantees more accurate results.
